Glenntex is a Swedish Startup based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The three-man founding team formed in 2020 at Chalmers University of Technology, with the ambition of introducing graphene nanocomposites to the world of sports.
What's the mission?
Improve material performance and sustainability in sports to create the tools for the next generation of athletes.
We strive to reduce the environmental burden of products, through reducing the consumption of low-durability plastics, composites and virgin materials.
In the long run, we hope to see our nanocomposite designs being deployed across a multitude of industries under the shared vision of a more sustainable and responsible consumption of plastics. That starts with sport.
How can we achieve it?
Our novel nanocomposite designs offer a step-change improvement in the properties of polymeric materials. We can explore combinations of characteristics to form a material that ultimately demonstrates properties that had previously been considered impossible to achieve.
The best part? Our designs can be applied across many polymers and properties - meaning we can develop countless new materials through deploying our technology. Furthermore, we still have hundreds of questions surrounding how far this nanocomposite can influence non-mechanical properties. We're only just touching the tip of the iceberg in this innovation.
